Côte d’Ivoire
EAI has been working in Cote d’Ivoire since 2018, beginning as a regional hub for the five-country USAID-funded Voices for Peace project ($31.5 million, 2016-2021) and the Accountability for Development project (A4D) (2020-2022) in northern Côte d’Ivoire, also with USAID funding. Through A4D, EAI worked in close partnership with local and national government, civil society, and traditional and social media practitioners. Equal Access currently leads the five-year USAID-funded $20.7 million Resilience for Peace (R4P) project in Côte d’Ivoire to strengthen community resilience as the country faces steadily climbing violent extremism (VE) in its five northern border regions. Building on our vast experience in Côte d’Ivoire, particularly in the North, EAI helps villages prevent and resist VE through research, economic empowerment and community action.
