Mansur Kurugu, a Senior Program Officer brings over a decade of experience in the successful implementation of multi-million-dollar projects funded by donors such as USAID and The MacArthur Foundation, focusing on CivSec, P/CVE, and Governance.

Mansur Kurugu is an accomplished development practitioner with over a decade of experience leading the implementation and documentation of projects in diverse areas, including Good Governance, Safety and Security, Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (PVE), and Youth Development in Nigeria. His expertise extends to managing relationships with partners and he gained experience working on multi-million-dollar projects funded by various international donors, such as USAID, the U.S. Department of State, The MacArthur Foundation, and US Embassy Abuja.

Mansur leads the field implementation and narrative documentation of the Strengthening Media Support for Community Accountability Measures (SMS4CAM 3.0) project funded by The MacArthur Foundation. Additionally, he spearheads the EWER component of the Securing Nigerian Communities Project, funded by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor in conflict-affected and security-sensitive communities across Nigeria. He adeptly manages risks associated with high-risk environments, and innovative approaches, such as piloting the virtual radio magazine show production and the Tech-savvy fellowship during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mansur holds several certifications and courses including a certificate in Social and Behavior Change from the University College London (UCL), a Master class for film producers and directors by Nigerian Film Institute, and peacebuilding/CivSec courses acquired through esteemed institutions like USIP.

Fluent in English and Hausa languages, Mansur possesses a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and holds a Commercial Pilot License, further exemplifying his diverse skillset and dedication to excellence.
