Ashok Regmi has more than 20 years of experience in positive youth development, social entrepreneurship, and innovation. He is the CEO of Street Law, Inc. and a former senior executive at the International Youth Foundation.
Ashok Regmi is the CEO of Street Law, Inc. and works directly with the Board of Directors, staff, partners, and funders to implement Street Law’s mission of advancing civic and law-related education to empower all people to positively transform their world.
He believes that education needs to be further leveraged for empowerment and justice, and that it is vital that the next generation has the knowledge and opportunities to exercise their rights and be architects of a just and inclusive society.
Ashok has more than 20 years of experience in positive youth development, social entrepreneurship, and innovation. Previously, as a senior executive at the International Youth Foundation, he led institutional strategic planning efforts and oversaw a multi-country portfolio of programs. To advance youth development, he designed partnerships across government agencies, corporations, bilateral and multi-lateral institutions, academia, and civil society across the world. Ashok also worked at the Ministry of Information in Nepal and implemented various radio programs to empower communities. He was the co-founder of the first FM radio channel in Nepal and positioned it to scale up across the country.
He is a frequent speaker at events convened by organizations such as the United Nations, World Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank. He sits on various boards, including a consortium of more than 200 institutions focusing on leadership development.
Ashok holds a B.A. in international political economy and diplomacy from the University of Bridgeport, and a Master of Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University. Ashok is originally from Nepal.
