Dr. Abiba has 10 years' experience as a social scientist, conducting research. She has worked to produce contextual data and knowledge on issues such as security and local governance, community resilience, social cohesion, and gender.

Dr. Abiba Diarrassouba is the Research-Action, Learning-Reporting (RAAR) Coordinator of the Resilience for Peace project, Equal Access International, since January 2024. She holds a PhD in Sociology of the Environment and Development. She is a researcher with 10 years experience. Abiba worked as a consultant, and qualitative research expert on a series of research for the Resilience for Peace project, producing contextual data and knowledge relating to local and security governance, as well as the links between illicit activities and violent extremism in the northern border areas of Côte d’Ivoire, from 2021 to 2023.

Before joining the Equal Access International (EAI) team, Abiba Diarrassouba also worked on issues of community resilience, social cohesion, gender analysis, women’s political participation and leadership, innovation processes, and empowerment for institutions and organizations including Cellule d’Analyse de Politiques Economiques du Cires(CAPEC), USAID, Tetra Tech, UN Women, RAINFOREST ALLIANCE, Norc University of Chicago, African Consultant/Banque Mondiale, Malk Consulting/Agence Emploi Jeunes, as associate researcher and consultant.
